How to Access Care at the Health Clinic

Whether you're feeling under the weather or just need to check in on your health, we’re here for you.
 
Walk-In Care for Illness and Injury
For most illness- and injury-related visits, you don’t need to call ahead—just come by the Health Center. After a quick check-in and paperwork, a provider will see you as soon as possible.
 
Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and University holidays
 

Appointments Required For:

Appointments are required for gynecological examinations, chiropractic visits, and for patients who may need an initial mental health evaluation before starting treatment. All other new patients are welcome to walk in and be seen by any of our providers.

Getting Ready for Your Visit

To help your appointment go smoothly, be sure to:
 
  •  Arrive 15 minutes early if you’ve scheduled an appointment
  •  Bring your ètv ID
  •  Have your health insurance card with you
  •  Bring any past medical records or prescriptions that might help your provider
  •  Bring cash, check, or card for your co-pay
 
If you are a student and can’t pay your co-pay at the time of service, just let us know—we can charge your student account instead.

  • Will you be under 18 when you visit?

    If you’ll be under 18 when you start at UNC, we encourage your parent or guardian to complete the Consent to Treat Minor Student Form. It’s not usually required for an initial medical consultation, but it can help avoid delays in future care.

  • Need parking?
    If you have a ètv parking permit, you can park:
    • Along 10th Avenue or 19th Street
    • In student lots north and south of Cassidy Hall
     
     
    No permit? There are limited “Health Center Patient Parking” spaces behind Cassidy Hall. To park in one of these spaces:
     
    *Request a temporary permit at the front desk as soon as you arrive
    *Display it in your car to avoid being ticketed or towed
     
    Accessible parking is available:
     
    On 19th Street (north side of Cassidy Hall)
     
    Behind the Health Center (west side)
  • Need assistance getting inside?
